The 2026 Arts & Culture Trust Nyoloha Scholarship Programme is now accepting applications. This scholarship initiative, aimed at undergraduate students, offers transformative opportunities for recent school graduates who aspire to pursue higher education in the fields of performing, visual, and digital arts. Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between 17 and 25 years of age.
  • Currently enrolled in Grade 12 or possess a university exemption certificate.
  • Require financial support to undertake a qualification in performing or visual arts at a recognized South African tertiary or accredited institution, with studies commencing in 2027.
  • Not be registered at any tertiary or accredited institution for the 2026 academic year.
  • Do not already hold a tertiary qualification in an arts or creative discipline from a South African institution.
  • Are not considered professional artists, meaning they have neither specialized training nor full-time employment in their artistic field.
  • Are not current participants or finalists of the 2025 ACT Nyoloha Scholarship Programme.
  • Must demonstrate the willingness and availability to fully commit to all activities and requirements during the six-month duration of the programme.
