Opportunity Announcement: International Masters Awards for 2026/27 Postgraduate Studies at University College London
University College London (UCL) is pleased to announce the availability of the International Masters Awards (IMA) for the academic year 2026/27, designed to financially support international students pursuing taught postgraduate Master’s degrees. These awards are made possible thanks to the generous contributions of UCL alumni, university-led funding initiatives, and collaborative partnerships. The IMA programme aims to assist a wide spectrum of international students from diverse backgrounds in accepting their offers and commencing their studies at UCL.
Overview of the International Masters Awards
Every year, UCL extends a variety of financial awards aimed at easing the cost of postgraduate study for international Master’s students. The International Masters Awards encompass multiple scholarship schemes tailored to different eligibility criteria and fields of study. Below is an outline of the current awards accessible to those beginning their Master’s programmes in 2026/27.
Important Details for Applicants
- Application Process: Applicants need only submit a single application to be considered for several scholarship schemes, provided they meet each scheme’s specific eligibility requirements.
- Who Can Apply: Prospective international Master’s students intending to commence studies at UCL in 2026/27.
- Eligibility: Detailed eligibility criteria vary by scheme and are provided on each individual award’s webpage (links included below).
How to Submit Your Application
To be eligible for the International Masters Awards, you must first have submitted a complete admission application to UCL. This includes providing all required references, although it is important to note that it may take up to 24 hours for references to appear on your application once submitted.
You do not need to have received an official offer of admission before applying for these scholarships; however, your fee status must be confirmed by UCL Admissions. For some applicants, this confirmation happens shortly after submitting an application, but for many, it may only be confirmed closer to the time an offer is made. If you find that you cannot access the scholarship application form immediately, you might need to wait until UCL has made a decision regarding your admission offer.
It is crucial to apply for your university admission well ahead of the scholarship deadline to ensure eligibility.
Note: If you intend to apply for funding for multiple Master’s programmes, separate scholarship applications must be filled out for each programme.

Please be aware that certain individual scholarship schemes within the IMA programme might have distinct application assessment and notification timelines.
