Application Deadline: 31 March 2026
The application window is now open for the 2026/2027 Commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarships. These scholarships form part of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission’s tripartite Master’s programme offerings. Administered by the UK’s Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), this scholarship initiative aligns with the UK government's international development goals. Operating within the broader framework of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP), this programme exemplifies the UK’s sustained dedication to supporting the Commonwealth.
Who Should Apply?
This scholarship targets outstanding postgraduate candidates from least developed countries and middle-income nations—including those experiencing fragile or conflict-affected conditions—who seek training opportunities unavailable locally. It is especially suited for individuals who need or prefer to continue living in their home country while pursuing their studies. The ideal applicants are those with the potential to leverage their enhanced knowledge and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact on the development of their home nations.
Duration of the Award: Up to six years
The scholarship funding is structured to support students over an extended period, recognizing the modular design of the distance learning courses, which allows for flexible study timelines.
