Multidisciplinary Mobility for a Climate Resilient Africa (MMoCRA)
MMoCRA is an EU-funded mobility programme through the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme connecting leading African and European universities to strengthen climate resilience across Africa through multidisciplinary research and training.
The MMoCRA programme supports African students, researchers, trainees and university staff through fully-funded scholarships and academic mobility grants for Masters, Doctoral, and Traineeship programmes.

Target Groups
MMoCRA provides structured academic mobility and knowledge exchange opportunities for diverse stakeholders committed to advancing climate resilience across Africa.
Students and Early Career Researchers
Master’s Students, Doctoral Candidates, and Trainees across Africa are the primary beneficiaries of the MMoCRA mobility scheme. The program offers comprehensive support for advanced studies in climate resilience, providing access to world-class facilities, multidisciplinary training, and opportunities to develop scientific, technical, and practical skills necessary to address Africa’s climate challenges.
Available Opportunities:
➤ 44 Master’s degree scholarships (up to 24 months)
➤ 12 Doctoral scholarships (up to 36 months)
➤ 20 short-term traineeships (3-6 months)
Academic and Administrative Staff
Lecturers, researchers, supervisors, mobility coordinators, and project administrators within the consortium and beyond are invited to participate in staff mobility programs. These opportunities focus on teaching collaboration, research partnerships, capacity-building activities, and institutional strengthening.

Industry and Practice-Oriented Stakeholders
Members in climate, energy, agrifood, and sustainability sectors including energy companies, agribusinesses, research and innovation hubs, consultancies, and professional associations are key partners in the MMoCRA ecosystem. The program develops competencies aligned with real-world climate challenges and offers opportunities for collaboration, internships, and knowledge exchange.
Policy and Decision-Making Stakeholders
Government institutions, public agencies, and regional policy bodies in Africa and relevant EU-level stakeholders receive insights on skills development, capacity-building outcomes, and evidence-based contributions that support climate-resilient development and informed policymaking.
