NNPC/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2026/2027 for young Nigerian Undergraduate students.

The application window is now open for the 2026/2027 NNPC OANDO Scholarship Scheme. This scholarship opportunity, established through a partnership between NNPC Limited and Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, forms part of their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts designed to enhance and support tertiary education throughout Nigeria.

Categories of Awards

  • Host/Transit Communities Merit Award: Specifically reserved for candidates who come from OANDO’s designated Host or Transit Communities.
  • National Merit Award: Available for students who hail from Non-Host or Non-Transit Communities.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at a Nigerian tertiary institution.
  • At the time of application, the student must be in their 100 level (first year).

Important: The following groups are NOT eligible to apply:

  • Students in 200 level or higher.
  • Individuals who are already recipients of comparable scholarships or awards from other companies or organizations.
  • Dependents of employees working with OANDO PLC or its subsidiaries.

Only applicants who are indigenes of OANDO’s Host or Transit Communities located in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States should apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.

For the National Merit Award, eligibility is restricted to students pursuing courses in Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Sciences.

Selection Process

An online aptitude test will be conducted as part of the selection procedure. Only candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to take this test. It is important to note that applicants must achieve a minimum overall score of 50% in the aptitude test to be considered for the award.

How to Apply

This scholarship is exclusively open to students in 100 level. The application steps are as follows:

  1. Prior to starting your application, ensure you have scanned copies of the following documents ready:
    • A recent passport photograph (white background, taken within the last 6 months, 450px by 450px, and not exceeding 200kb in size).
    • School Identification Card.
    • O’level Examination Certificates.
    • Admission Letter from your institution.
    • Birth Certificate.
    • Proof of Local Government Area of origin.
    • Letter from the Community Paramount Ruler (required only for applicants applying under the Host Communities Merit Award).
    • Letter from the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman (also only for Host Communities Merit Award applicants).
    • Completed JAMB Result Compliance Form (available for download from the application portal).
  2. Name each document clearly according to its content before uploading to avoid confusion.
  3. Attach the relevant documents when prompted during the application process.
  4. Provide valid and active email and telephone contact details to ensure smooth communication throughout the application process.
