Application Deadline: January 16, 2026
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026 cohort of the Gender Equity/GBV Evidence Accelerator Fellowship. This comprehensive one-year program provides funded mentorship and targeted coursework through the Center for Global Women’s Health and Gender Equity (CGWHGE) at Johns Hopkins University. The fellowship is specifically designed for practitioners, professionals, and researchers engaged in gender equity initiatives, with a focus on addressing gender-based violence (GBV), especially within low- and middle-income countries.
This part-time fellowship aims to enhance participants’ capacity in generating, synthesizing, and translating evidence related to gender equity and GBV. Fellows will undertake selected courses offered by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) and benefit from continuous mentorship provided by CGWHGE faculty. The program fosters a collaborative cohort environment, facilitating networking and professional growth. While most activities take place virtually, participants will gather in person once during the fellowship year to strengthen connections.
As part of the fellowship, scholars will develop and complete a focused mini-project on gender equity or GBV topics. Examples of projects include secondary data analysis of surveys or conducting evidence syntheses, all supported by faculty mentorship and data analysis assistance from CGWHGE experts. The expected weekly time commitment averages around 10 hours, with potential increases up to 20 hours during course-heavy weeks, plus additional time allocated for travel to cohort meetings.
