Applications are officially open for the 2026 edition of the NEBOSH L’Oréal International Bursary Program, an initiative dedicated to empowering women in the field of health and safety. This bursary scheme offers twenty fully funded places to study the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, a prestigious qualification recognized worldwide.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety equips candidates with essential expertise and practical skills, providing a robust foundation for those currently working in or aspiring to enter the health and safety profession. This qualification is highly regarded across industries and is designed to be:

Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge on key topics such as:

The Bursary Details

A total of twenty bursaries are available, specifically targeting women who are keen to develop or advance their careers in health and safety. These bursaries fully cover the costs of studying for the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. It is important to note that the bursary is offered exclusively in English and is open only to women residing outside the United Kingdom.

Recipients of the bursary must complete a minimum of 65 hours of instructed teaching, complemented by approximately 40 hours of recommended independent study, along with an estimated 2 hours of on-demand tutor support. The qualification process culminates in a two-part assessment:

  • An open book examination (OBE) designed to evaluate the candidate’s theoretical understanding
  • A practical risk assessment task that tests the ability to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios

NEBOSH and L’Oréal have collaborated to provide a dedicated course exclusively for bursary holders. This course includes opportunities to connect virtually with fellow recipients, fostering a supportive learning community. The study is delivered via a Live Online format, featuring real-time Zoom classes led by expert tutors. This format ensures an interactive classroom experience accessible from any location worldwide.
