The program kicks off with a Challenge Phase grounded in the AWS AI Practitioner learning curriculum. Participants will gain practical experience using authentic AWS services such as Amazon PartyRock and Amazon Bedrock, delve into applicable AI case studies, and learn how to implement responsible AI practices in real-world scenarios. Based on performance in assessments, the top 4,500 candidates will be awarded a fully funded Nanodegree scholarship through Udacity, enabling them to specialize further and prepare for AI roles that align closely with AWS technologies.

• No prior knowledge or experience in AI or machine learning is necessary.

Program Breakdown

Phase 1: Challenge Phase

• Application Window: March 24, 2026 – June 24, 2026
• Open globally to up to 100,000 participants, with full funding provided by AWS
• Based on the comprehensive AWS AI Practitioner Learning Plan
• Self-paced foundational training covering AI and Agentic AI concepts using real AWS services
• Participants who successfully complete this phase will receive a Certificate of Completion

Phase 2: Udacity Nanodegree Program

• Duration: August 4, 2026 – November 4, 2026
• Exclusively for the top 4,500 learners who excelled in the Challenge Phase assessments
• Choose from three specialized Nanodegree tracks, each closely aligned with high-demand career paths in AI
• Engage in project-driven learning designed to create AI portfolios demonstrating real-world job readiness using AWS AI services

How the Program Operates

Build a Solid AI Foundation

Begin by engaging with the AWS Artificial Intelligence Practitioner Learning Plan, which equips you with career-relevant AI expertise through practical interaction with AWS tools. During the Challenge Phase, you will cover:

• Fundamental AI principles and generative AI technologies
• Applications in natural language processing and computer vision
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Amazon PartyRock
• Data preparation workflows, model training, deployment, and monitoring techniques
• Implementation of responsible AI practices and exposure to real-life case studies

Extended Learning via AWS Skill Builder Access

After finishing the Challenge Phase, participants will gain three months of complimentary access to AWS Skill Builder. This extension allows you to deepen your understanding of AWS AI tools and content, helping you strengthen and expand your practical AWS skills well beyond the initial program scope.

Specialize in a Future-Ready AI Career Track

The highest scoring 4,500 learners will be invited to join one of three Nanodegree tracks, each designed to prepare you for a specific, in-demand AI role:

• Future AWS AI Programmer
• Future AWS Agentic AI Business Professional
• Future AWS Agent Developer

Each track focuses on hands-on projects that culminate in portfolio-ready work, gearing you toward applying your AI expertise in practical, professional environments.
