The window to apply for the highly competitive 2026 UNIV’R Master’s Scholarship Programme is officially open. This initiative, a collaborative effort between Campus France, UNHCR, and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), invites applications from refugee students aspiring to pursue Master’s degrees in France commencing September 2026.

Applicants have the flexibility to select up to two master’s programmes offered by the participating universities involved in this programme.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Applicants must be officially recognized refugees; asylum-seekers are not eligible.
  • Candidates should currently reside in their first country of asylum, which must be outside the European Union.
  • Applicants must be 30 years of age or younger at the time of application.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to Bac+3) is required to qualify.
  • Proficiency at the B2 level in either French or English is necessary, depending on the language of the chosen master’s programme.

Advantages of the UNIV’R Scholarship

The scholarship offers comprehensive financial and administrative support, including:

  • Full tuition coverage, along with allowances for living expenses, travel costs, and social security contributions.
  • Exemption from tuition and visa fees, reducing the financial burden on recipients.
  • Assistance with administrative procedures and access to student housing accommodations.
  • Issuance of an individual long-stay student visa; however, this does not include provisions for family reunification.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates must complete and submit the online form via the UNHCR platform before the deadline on 15 March 2026 at 23:59 Paris time.
